A superb original Belgian cinema poster for Henry Hathaway’s classic 1946 film noir The Dark Corner.

The design is exceptionally atmospheric, dominated by a wonderful painted portrait of Mark Stevens in fedora with revolver in hand, accompanied by Lucille Ball and Clifton Webb. The deep blues, reds and greens give the poster precisely the shadowy, hard-boiled appearance associated with the finest film-noir advertising of the 1940s.

Belgian posters from this period are particularly appealing for their distinctive hand-painted artwork, and this is an excellent example for an important 20th Century Fox noir.
