FAQs

How do we grade the condition of our posters?

All of our posters are original and of a high quality. If there are any specific damages, or any other specific details regarding the poster's condition, they will be listed in the 'More Information' section of the poster. Otherwise, our posters are graded as listed below:

Mint (M):

The posters may show very slight signs of age, or may never have been used or displayed. On folded posters, there might be minimal signs of wear to the exterior due to storage. The posters should have no holes or tears. A mint poster is in perfect condition with no visible defects on the edges or surface of the poster.

Near Mint (NM):

Very lightly used posters with fresh, saturated colours. On folded posters, there might be minimal wearing at the folds. The posters should neither have holes, pinholes or tears, nor any kind or visible surface wear. They have the smallest of defects that are limited to the edges of the poster.

Very Fine (VF):

Posters with bright colours and a clean overall appearance. They may have general signs of use, such as minor fold separations and fold wears. They may have pinholes or very minor imperfections, but are in wonderful condition.

Fine (F):

Posters with good colours, light wear and slight fading along the fold lines, alongside minor border creases, some pinholes around the borders and minor creasing in the image itself. They may have minimal fold separations.

Very Good (VG):

Posters in pretty nice condition but with some relatively minor imperfections due to age. Posters may show light, normal wear, minor surface soiling or border wear including small rips of paper loss, minor creasing in the image or on the edge of the posters, minor colour loss along the fold lines, some pinholes, light discolouration, small pieces of tape, staining from tape, or a small amount of writing on the posters themselves. Folded posters will have age-related fold wears and separations.

Good (G):

Average posters with minor or moderate age wears, may have paper loss along the edges, small tears, pinholes, significant age-related fold separations, some colour fading, stains, tape or tape stains, moderate to heavy soiling, or slight trimming. They may need some restoration. The posters are still collectable and would still be reasonably presentable if framed (if restoration isn’t carried out).

Fair (F):

The posters have faded colours and show significant signs of use, including paper loss, fading and large tears. These types of damages require major restoration.

Poor (P):

Posters with major defects: worn, torn, stained, large pieces missing, tape, pinholes, water stains, writing, heavily soiled and may be cracked or brittled. They should be considered for professional restoration, which will be costly.
