The Angel Wore Red (1960) – Original US Half Sheet, Style A

An original American cinema poster for The Angel Wore Red, starring Ava Gardner and Dirk Bogarde in a drama set during the Spanish Civil War.

The vivid artwork places Gardner in a sweeping red dress against a dark blue portrait montage, with wartime imagery and the film’s dramatic taglines surrounding her. The landscape half-sheet format gives this glamorous design a particularly strong presence.
